"The Buccaneer" Tonight.

The first regular performance of "The Buccaneer" was given by the Pi Eta Society in Brattle Hall, Saturday evening, for graduates and members. The piece made a distinct hit, and every number was recalled time after time. The music is lively and catchy, and above all exceedingly well sung, there being several excellent voices among the principals. The chorus is very strong and well trained.

Judging from the appreciative reception "The Buccaneer" met with graduate's night, the play is bound to be a success, and the music especially popular. F. E. Barry '97, the composer, was presented with a gold and ivory tipped baton by the principals and members of the chorus, and at the close of the first act both Barry and Stephens the librettist, were loudly cheered.

Tonight the first public performance will be given in Brattle Hall. There are a few good seats left at Thurston's, where seats for Tuesday night as well as a few for the Boston performance may be obtained.

The music of "The Buccaneer" has been published by the White-Smith Publishing Co., and is on sale at all the music stores.
