Until the last inning the visitors played a fine fielding game, but went to pieces then, and Holy Cross piled up the runs. Maroney pitched a great game for Holy Cross, giving Wesleyan but two hits, neither of which counted in the scoring. The batting of Maroney and Powers was the feature of the game.
The score:
Innings, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Holy Cross, 3 2 0 3 0 2 0 1 5 - 16
