The 'varsity nine will play three games during the recess, two with Dartmouth, and one with Tufts. The team will leave for Hanover next Tuesday morning on the nine o'clock train. They will practice in Hanover Tuesday afternoon and the first game with Dartmouth will be called at 2.30 Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday morning the nine will go to Manchester, N. H., and that afternoon play the second game with Dartmouth on the baseball grounds at the south end. Next Thursday is Fast Day in New Hampshire and if it is a pleasant day the attendance will undoubtedly be large. The nine will probably return to Boston Thursday night.
The game with Tufts on Saturday will be played on Holmes Field. The skinned diamond which is being made now will be completed by the middle of next week and the 'varsity will begin practice on it when it returns from the Hanover trip.
The freshman ball team plays its first scheduled game of the season with Roxbury Latin this afternoon. No first nine has as yet been definitely settled upon and the men will be changed throughout the game.
During the recess the nine will play three games, with Cambridge High and Latin, April 16; Technology '97, April 17, at Cambridge; and Groton at Groton, April 20.
