To the Editors of the Crimson:
DEAR SIRS - I have addressed to the editor of the Boston Advertiser the following denial of the report published, in good faith, by that journal on Saturday morning, bearing upon the proposed experimental College Conference, now abandoned:
"The Editor of Boston Advertiser:
SIR - Allow me space for a brief contradiction of the report on the first page of this morning's 'Advertiser,' headed "Harvard Senate," in which there is not a word of truth save and except the names of the students and the information that they are prominent in college.
Every other statement is an absolute falsehood.
I am opposed to any discussion of the football question by any meeting of students or students and Faculty. I have not - and the Committee of Students has not - any plan for a senate or similar combination and none has been proposed or intended.
I have sent a copy of this note to the college papers."
Yours sincerely,F. C. DE SUMICHRAST.
