"The Silent Woman."

Ben Jonson's "Epicoene or The Silent Woman" will be given in Sanders Theatre this afternoon at 2 o'clock and this evening at 8. Nearly all of the arrangements for the production of the play have been completed. The scenery is a very elaborate imitation of the old model, and will prove a most interesting feature of the play. The fops and gallants and other supernumeraries have been carefully drilled in their part of the performance and will add greatly to the realism of the reproduction.

Arrangements for ladies to check their cloaks and hats can be made only for the evening performance but ladies are requested to remove their hats at the matinee as well. Tickets will be on sale at the Auditor's office before each performance. As it is desirable that the performances shall begin promptly at 2 and at 8 respectively, all who intend to be present are requested to be in their seats punctually. The Kirkland street entrance will be reserved for carriages.
