The following rules have been adopted to govern the Duplicate Whist Tournament as to points which are liable to be misunderstood:
I. Each player shall bring four packs of cards. Sixteen hands shall be played.
II. A new trump may be turned for each hand, or the same trump may be used throughout the entire match, at the option of the players; the latter method to be used in case of a division of opinion.
III. After each trick has been completed, the cards shall be turned face downward, but any player may look back to the last trick which has been turned down.
IV. Tie matches shall be played off.
V. The penalty for a revoke is three points, but the revoke must be declared before the hand is laid aside.
VI. Disputed points shall be referred to the committee, who may order the match to be replayed.
Further information will be furnished on application to any member of the committee. The entry book will be left at Bartlett's until six o'clock tonight. The list of drawings will be published in the CRIMSON Saturday morning.
