8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The game between ninety-seven and ninety-six which resulted last Friday in a draw was played off yesterday afternoon at four, on Soldiers Field.
The game was hard fought from beginning to end, and not until time was called did ninety-seven feel at all sure of her victory. Both teams were better on offensive work and long gains were made around the ends by both sides. At one time during the first half ninety-six pushed the ball to their opponent's five yard line, but lost it on a fumble; the juniors then braced up and by steady playing carried the ball away from their goal, and just as time was called Warren scored a touchdown for ninety-seven. Hallowell kicked the goal.
At the beginning of the second half the seniors started in to play a hard game and after several good rushes by Arnold and Lee, the latter went over the goal line for a touchdown. Merriman missed an easy goal.
The juniors now played entirely on the defensive and long punts by Hallowell kept the ball in the senior's territory for the rest of the half. For ninety-six Lee, at halfback, played a strong game, while Scannell, Garrison and Hallowell did the best work for ninety-seven.
