The annual election of captain of the Technology 'varsity football eleven was held on Monday afternoon, and resulted in the election of Frank E. Underwood '97. F. S. Mansfield '97 was beaten by only three votes.
Underwood joined the Technology team three years ago in his freshman year and made a great reputation as end. He played fullback in 1894, and in the same position the latter part of the season. He is only 19 years old. His home is in Hartfort, Ct.
The following members of the 'varsity eleven will be back next year: Robinson, Worcester, and McCormick, guards; Ulmer, Whiting, and VanHorn, Tackles; Heckel, Le Baron, and Hopkins, ends: Mansfield and Warren, quarter; Underwood, Hayden, Emery and Taylor, backs.
