Cornell Defeats Brown.

Cornell won a very close and exciting game from Brown, Saturday, at Ithaca. The score was 6 to 4.

Though Cornell was obliged to play fully five substitutes, owing to the crippled condition of the regular men, her light line held Brown's heavy team most effectively.

Neither side scored in the first half. In the second half Wyckoff caught the ball on the kick-off on Cornell's 15-yard line and made a brilliant run of 90 yards. He passed the whole Brown team, but was at length caught from behind by Fultz. Beacham was soon pushed over the line for a touchdown, and Wyckoff kicked the goal.

Brown then succeeded in making a touchdown by the excellence of her end interference, but failed to kick the goal, losing the game, 6 to 4.

Cornell's defense was very plucky throughout the game, and several times Brown was unable to score after carrying the ball close to the goal line.
