Rules for U. of P. Game.

The rules for the Harvard-Pennsylvania game have been practically agreed upon. They will be in almost all respects the same as the rules which governed the Harvard-Princeton game. The ball must be touched to the ground when received by a back from a punt, before it can be advanced. The rule in regard to a fair catch remains unchanged.

The only important change is in regard to the men who can bunch behind the line before the ball is put in play. In the Princeton game five men could bunch behind the line, but these five men could only be the ends, tackles and backs; the center and guards could not join in the interference. Under the rules for the Pennsylvania game the centre and guards are not excluded from the interference and may fall back behind the line just as any of the other players. None of these men, however, can start before the ball is put in play.
