The first hare and hound run, in which 50 men entered, took place yesterday. The course ran from the Carey building to North Cambridge and Somerville, turned at Tufts College, and came back to the Carey Building by way of East Cambridge. The hounds beat the hares by two minutes, covering the distance in 471/2 minutes.
D. Grant '99 won first prize while A. W. Blakemore '98 got second and F. C. Hinkley '97 third.
The next run will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
