The freshman football candidates have been separated into two squards of about 25 men each captained by Adams and Thompson.

An eleven chosen from Captain Thompson's squad played two ten minute halfs with the junior eleven. Ninety-nine forced the ball to the juniors five-yard line in the second half. There was a great deal of fumbling on both sides and the playing was very loose. The freshman backs made inexcusable mistakes in the signals.

The squad captained by Adams lined up for two ten minute halves with the sophomore team. Both elevens played a hard snappy game and were good at breaking through. Neither side scored in the first half. In the second ninety-nine made a touchdown by good playing. Ninety-eight also scored on a missed kick behind the line.

The work of the ninety-six team consisted mainly of practicing the signals.
