Ware and Scudder defeated Wrenn and Read in doubles yesterday by the score 6-2, 6-2. Notwithstanding the onesidedness of the score the match was hardfought and full of good play. Ware and Scudder won chiefly through their team work which was superior to that of their opponents. Wrenn and Read played well, but Read showed lack of practice. The summary of yesterday's matches:

Doubles.Ware and Scudder beat Wrenn and Read 6-2, 6-2.

Holt and Foster beat Ingraham and Putnam 7-5, 6-3.

Singles.Ware beat Ingraham, 3-6, 6-4 6-1.

The following matches will be played today.

Doubles.Ware and Scudder vs. Holt and Foster.

Singles.Thomas vs. Whitman.

Holt vs. Ingraham.

The winners of the above matches in singles will play tomorrow; the winner of that match will, together with Ware and Wrenn, represent Harvard in singles at the intercollegiate tournament.
