Postponed 'Varsity Games.

The three events in the 'varsity games which were postponed Monday afternoon were run off yesterday. In the 220 yards dash the handicapping was too heavy for the scratch men, and Dorman with 17 yards won easily. For second place, however, the contest was more exciting. The pole vault proved to be a very interesting affair and again the handicap proved too much for the scratch man. Out of justice to Kershaw L. S., however, it should be said that if it had not been so dark he would undoubtedly have won first place as his previous records have been far higher than he needed to go over. Only the first and second men in each event get prizes. Following is the summary:

Running broad jump-Won by F. Mason '96, 1 ft.; second, E. H. Clark '96, 3 in. Distance, 21 ft. 10 in.

220 yards dash. First heat-Won by H. S. Dorman '96, 17 yards; second, J. L. Bremer, scratch. Time, 223/5s.

Second heat-Won by W. R. Mansfield '97, 5 yds; second, T. H. Endicott '99, 9 yds. Time, 224/5s.

Third heat-Won F. H. Bigelow '98, scratch; second, J. T. Harrington '99, 4 yards. Time, 234/5s.

Final heat-Won by H. S. Dorman '96, 17 yds.; second, W. R. Mansfield '97, 5 yds. Time, 222/5s.

Pole vault-Won by W. E. Putnam, Jr. '96, 1 ft.; second, M. H. Kershaw L. S., scratch. Height, 10 ft.
