By far the most interesting game yesterday afternoon was that played by ninety-nine and Worcester Athletic Club. Ninety-nine had not practiced their new signals, so that in the first half their playing was rather loose. Two touchdowns were scored by Worcester and one goal kicked.
The playing by both sides in the second half was very sharp, the interference of W. A. C. being especially effective. At last ninety-nine blocked a kick and Cochran fell on the ball behind the Worcester goal.
After the kick-off, ninety-nine got the ball and Dayton made a run of fifty yards and scored another touchdown. Neither goal was kicked. Time was called on account of darkness with the score Worcester 10, Ninety-nine 8. For ninety-nine Farley and Dibblee played the best game.
The line-up was as follows:
NINETY-NINE WORCESTER. A. C.
Richardson, l.e. r.e., Weyer.
Holden, l.t. r.t., Hurbert.
Lloyd, l.g. r.g., Simpson.
Fairbanks, c. c., Thomas.
White, r.g. l.g., Walker.
Kilbourn, r.t. l.t., Beckton.
Nourse, Cochrane, r.e., l.e., Bigelow.
Farley, q.b. q.b., Boyle.
Adams, Macomber, h.b., h.b., Albertson.
Dayton, h.b. h.b., Morgan.
Dibblee, f.b. f.b., McGregor.
