Yesterday afternoon one squad of the freshman candidates and juniors lined up for two ten minute halves. The playing was sharp on both sides, but it soon became evident that the team work of '99 was much better than that of their opponents. After a brilliant run by W. Adams and a series of successful rushes the ball was carried behind the '97 goal. In the last half the playing was entirely in '97 territory but the freshmen were unable to score again.
