Meeting of Religious Societies.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On October 10, the United Religious Societies and the Student Volunteer Movement of the University will hold a joint meeting in the Fogg Art Museum to set before the students, and especially the new students, the advantages, needs, aims and claims of religious and philanthropic work in and around the University. Feeling that the work in which they are interested is of the greatest concern, not only to the University itself, but also to the community in which it is placed, they have asked men of influence and eminence to make the work known to the students. President Eliot will preside at the meeting and addresses will be made by President Eliot, Professor Peabody, Rev. Endicott Peabody and Rev. W. H. O'Connell. An effort is being made to get Lieutenant Governor Wolcott.

It is earnestly hoped that the students at large and especially the new students of the University will take advantage of this opportunity to interest themselves in this important work which the University has in hand.
