In response to Captain Whittemore's call for battery candidates the following men handed in their names at the Trophy Room last evening:

Pitchers - A. A. Highlands '95, C. J. Paine '97, D. T. Perry '97, E. W. Ames '96, D. W. Jenny L. S., F. L. Woodward '96, G. F. Cozzens Sp., J. P. Whittren L. S. S., W. H. Rand '98, E. K. Bowser '96, W. H. Reed '95, G. H. Hamilton '96, and A. J. Harris '97.

Catchers - D. D. Scannell '97, H. A. Scott '97, W. W. Gile '97, D. W. Brown '98, H. C. Ring '98, G. B. Burrage '98, C. E. Bacon '95, G. S. Henry L. S. S., and G. Buckman '97.

These men will begin practice in the cage at the Carey Building tomorrow and Mr. Keefe will coach them.

The athletic committee has consented that two games be played with the New York league team. These games are practically assured for April 19 and 20, and will be played on the Polo Grounds in New York City.
