The Harvard Chess Club easily defeated Phillips Andover in the annual tournament last evening, 11 games to 0. After the match, E. E. Southard 1M. and A. W. Ryder '96 played simultaneously at nine tables, alternating in their moves. They won all their games, except the two against J. Hewins, Jr., '98, and F. E. Thayer '99.
