The lacrosse management has received challenges from the teams of Cornell, Lehigh, and Johns Hopkins, and from several local teams; but none of these will be answered until it is known whether the team will be a success. The candidates who take the regular practice now number twenty-five; a lacrosse team consists of twelve men.
In spite of the bad weather the work of the candidates goes steadily on in the cage of the gymnasium and on the board track. The men are now divided into four sections, each of which practices three times a week. J. A. Leighton Gr., has the general management of the practice and each section is under the direction of the following men: J. G. Ames Gr., R. H. Starr '96, G. C. Curtis Sp., and F. L. Beecher '98.
