The ninth annual championship meeting of the New England Interscholastic Athletic Association will be held this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock on Holmes Field.
This meeting is to decide the individual interscholastic championships of New England, and to award for 1894 the possession of the challenge cup, presented in 1889 by Harvard undergraduates and now held by the Worcester High School, which won it at the last meeting. The meeting is under the auspices of the H. A. A., and, from the number of entries, promises to be of unusual interest.
The schools which will be represented are: Hopkinson, Roxbury Latin, Brown and Nichols, Worcester Academy, Noble and Greenough, Belmont, Milton Academy, Boston E. H. S, Worcester High School, Brookline High School, Chauncy Hall, Concord High School, Hale, Cambridge Latin, Cambridge E. H. S., Newton High, Waltham High School, Phillips Andover and Boston Latin School.
The order of the events is: 100 yards dash, trails; 120 yards hurdle, trials; 880 yards run; 100 yards, second round; one mile bicycle race, trials, 120 yards hurdle, finals; 440 yards dash, trials; one mile walk; 100 yards dash, finals; one mile bicycle, finals; 440 yards dash, finals; 220 yards hurdle, trials; 220 yards dash, trials; one mile run; 220 yards hurdle, finals; 220 yards dash, finals.
