The 'varsity nine will play their first game with Yale this afternoon. The following is the batting order of both teams:

Harvard-Whittemore, 2b; Cook, 3b; Dickinson, 1b; Corbett, l.f.; Scannell, c.; Wiggin, c.f.; Winslow, s.s.; Highlands or Paine, p.; Beale, r.f.

Yale-Rustin, r.f.; Murphy, 2b.; Case, s.s.; Carter, p.; Stephenson, 1b.; Speer, l.f.; Greenway, c.; Redington, c.f; Arbuthnot, 3b.

The game will be called at 3 p. m.

The nine did not indulge in any regular practice yesterday, although several of the men practiced batting in the morning. In the afternoon the team witnessed the contest between Boston and Baltimore. The Yale nine arrived in Boston yesterday morning and stayed at the Vendome. About 100 seats in Section F have been reserved for Yale men.
