The annual game between the Harvard and Yale freshmen will be played this afternoon on Holmes Field at 3.30. The Harvard nine will be strengthened by the addition of Paine and Scannell, who will be the battery, and by Stevenson, who will play right field. The nine, thus constituted, is undoubtedly the strongest team which the freshman class can produce, and the addition of the 'varsity players will not only strengthen the batting and fielding of the team, but it will also inspire confidence, an important factor in freshman contests. The hard and constant practice of the men has, to a great extent, remedied many of the faults which were noticeable in their playing earlier in the season and the sharp and accurate fielding which characterized their practice yesterday augurs well for their success in today's contest. The following is the batting order of both teams:
