Harvard-Yale Debate.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The trial debate to choose speakers for the Harvard-Yale debate will be held in the Fogg Lecture Room, Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 7.30. The committee is particularly anxious that every member of the University who has had any experience whatever should come out and try.

The judges to select speakers to represent Harvard on Dec. 3, will be:

Prof. James Barr Ames, Dean of the Law School; Mr. Solomon Lincoln, of the Board of Overseers; Professor George P. Baker, Dr. A. C. Coolidge, Mr. E. H. Warren.

It is possible that Judge Oliver W. Holmes will also act as judge. W. E. Hutton L. S., will preside.

The question to be debated is: Resolved, "That the United States should annex the Hawaiian Islands."

As Harvard's side of the question will not be chosen until after the trial, everyone, who tries, may feel that the points he brings out will assist Harvard in making the proper selection of debaters. As a special effort must be made to win the debate with Yale this year, every member of the University is urged to encourage the debaters by being present at the trial.
