A meeting of representatives of the colleges interested in forming an Intercollegiate Debating Union was held April 3 and 4 at Columbia College. A constitution was drawn up and adopted, and various plans for debates were discussed. The colleges represented were Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Pennsylvania, and Columbia. The officers elected were: President, C. Vrooman, Harvard; first vice-president, W. Leete, Yale; second vice president, G. Fox, Princeton; treasurer, G. Codman, Pennsylvania; recording secretary, S. Knapp, Columbia.
