Instructor in Military Science.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Corporation of the University has applied to the United States government to detail an officer to give instruction in the theory and history of military tactics and science at Harvard. The government has accepted. No man has as yet been definitely decided upon, but Professor Hollis has two excellent men in view and the course will doubtless be started next year.

This action of the corporation does not mean that a system of military drill is to be instituted here. It is simply in line with other efforts to improve and increase the usefulness of the Scientific School.
