Harvard-Yale Chess Match.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On account of the nearness of the end of the college year the Harvard-Yale correspondence chess match, which was begun in the latter part of the winter, has been discontinued. The correspondence method of play requires a long time and only about twenty moves have been made in each of the two games. Several methods of deciding the match have been proposed but it has finally been decided to let the games lie over until next year and to finish them next fall. The match is very close and for this reason the Harvard players prefer to postpone it rather than to have it decided by disinterested persons as the Yale players proposed.
