Mandolin Club.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the last two weeks the Mandolin Club has been practicing regularly under the leadership of R. G. Morse '96 and has been improving rapidly. The club has been considerably enlarged since the mid-years, there being now six first mandolins, four second, and four guitars. One more guitar will be taken on if an efficient player can be found. Another innovation which has never before been tried on a 'varsity club will be the introduction of a flageolet. In many of the pieces the viola is not strong enough to bring out the part, but the flageolet with its high register does this very well. The men now playing on the club are:

First mandolins - R. G. Morse '96, W. McKittrick '96, F. E. Barry '97, D. E. Mitchell '97, G. L. Collins '96, V. Burnett '98.

Second mandolins - R. L. Scaife '97, A. T. Carter '97, S. Fordyce '98, F. R. Wright '98.

Guitars - H. R. Storrs '96, J. L. Bremer '96, A. R. Sheriff '96, J. De K. Towner '98.

Viola - F. L. Waldo '98.

Flageolet - J. C. Hunt '96.
