The feeling among the Yale faculty in favor of a thorough investigation into the alleged disagreeable features of the game of football is steadily growing, and it is expected that every phase of football will be discussed by them in the near future. One very probable result will be the stopping of Yale games in New York. The faculty have long believed that the contests in New York are demoralizing and they are likely to try to induce the alumni to consent to all future games taking place in New Haven, Cambridge, Princeton, or possibly Springfield. This would involve the erection of large grand stands at these places, but that item is necessary at Springfield now and the element of rowdyism would, the faculty think, then be avoided.
The indignation felt at Yale in consequence of the proposed police interference in case of brutality in the game with Princeton, may be an important factor in effecting a change in the place of the annual games.
