Harvard beat Exeter yesterday on Soldiers Field by a score of 48 to 0. The game was one-sided and uninteresting in the first half, but some excitement was aroused in the second half, when the places of the 'varsity line men were taken by the substitutes. The Exeter men took heart at this and some good runs were made.

The 'varsity men played a quick, steady game, while Stack and Gillespie did effective work for the visitors.

Exeter had the ball at the start and kicked it to Wrightington, who made 20 yards before he was downed. Brown then took the ball 30 yards nearer Exeter's goal, and a few seconds later, carried it over the line for a touchdown.

Exeter again took the ball. This time Brown caught it and made 25 yards. Wrightington then made another run of 50 yards, landing the ball for another touchdown. The third goal was made with as little trouble as the two preceding ones, and two more were added before time was called.

In the second half the Exeter line was able to hold the Harvard substitutes, and their halfbacks showed that they could do something if they had the chance. Wrenn played at quarterback through the second half and put considerable life and snap into the work.
