The events which had to be postponed last Friday came off yesterday afternoon. The scratch men in the 220 hurdles and the broad jump had no difficulty in capturing their events, Bremer winning the former and Clarke the latter. In the pole vault Hoyt tried for 10 ft. 7 in. but failed to clear it.
Following is the summary:
220 yards hurdles.
Won by J. L. Bremer, scratch; second, P. D. Rust, 20 yards. Time, 26 2-5s.
220 yards dash.
Won by F. L. Hardenbrook, 8 yds; second, A. M. Eaton, Jr., 10 yds. Time, 23s.
Running broad jump.
Won by E. H. Clarke, scratch; second, L. B. Shoenfeld, scratch. Distance, 21 ft. 5 in.
Pole vault.
Won by A. B. Emmons, 9 in.; second, W. W. Hoyt, scratch. Height, 9 ft. 10 in., actual vault.
