The games yesterday afternoon were on the whole not a very great success. There were a large number of entries and most of the men entered showed up but the track was soft and heavy and a strong wind blew down the stretch so that no good records were made. In addition to this darkness came on so early as to cause four of the events to be postponed.

The best races of the day were the 120 yds. hurdles and the 100 yds. dash. In the former the men were exceedingly close over the last hurdle, but on the final spurt, V. Munroe '96, won from scratch, with F. Mason '96 a close second. F. H. Bigelow '98 had no difficulty in winning the 100 yds. dash, from the scratch. In the two mile bicycle race W. R. Brinckerhoff '97, with a handicap of 50 yards, rode in fine form and soon passed the limit men and won easily. The rest of the events were very mediocre performances. The following events which had to be postponed will take place at 4.00 o'clock on Monday.
