Candidates for the fall class crews appeared at the University boat house yesterday afternoon. '95 and '97 each had a complete crew of eight men, and each took a short row in their respective barges. As only seven men responded to the call for candidates for the '96 crew, a little pair-oared work was all that could be done.

Candidates for the freshman crew have not yet been called out.

The following men rowed in the senior and sophomore boats:

'95.-Stroke, Ninde; No. 7, Irving; 6, Capen; 5, Pool; 4, Lambert; 3, Schereschewsky, Briggs (Capt.); 2, McNear; bow, Brown.

'97.-Stroke, Cornwell; No. 7, Kernan (Capt.); 6, Hollister; 5, Phelps; 4, Sleeper; 3, Elder; 2, Watson; bow, Lord.

The following men appeared for '96: R. Wadsworth, W. Greenough, Appleton, B. Frothingham, Lyman, Jones, Forbes (Capt.)
