Scratch Boat Races.

In order to arouse an interest in rowing in the college the managers of the 'varsity crew have arranged for a series of scratch races and class races to take place this fall. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week there will be eight-oared barge races for the championship of each class separately. For these races, crews may enter at Thurston's up to Wednesday noon. From the crews that row in these races regular class eights will be picked to compete some time about the last of this month. The 'varsity boat club will furnish the barges for the races.
