Rumors to the effect that Cook, L. S., has withdrawn his resignation as captain of the nine, are unfounded. Cook reconsidered his action, but has returned to the Athletic Committee a final decision, stating that he will be compelled to give up his office. The election of a new captain will probably be dederred for several days.
