The 'varsity nine defeated Brown at Providence, Saturday, in a very close and exciting game. The victory was well earned as Harvard outplayed Brown both in fielding and batting.

The score was 1 to 1 up to the sixth inning, when Harvard secured a winning lead, earning four runs on six singles and a double. Harvard got runs in the eighth and ninth innings and in the last half of the ninth Brown got four runs on four singles and three bases on balls. Following is the score in full:
