B. Cook, Jr., L. S., captain of the nine, has handed in his resignation to the Athletic Committee, but no official action has been taken in regard to it. This is Cook's second year in the Law School and he states as a reason for his resignation, his wish to put more time on his studies.
No successor has been appointed and probably none will be until after the recess. There is now not a member of last year's nine who played in the Yale games who is eligible for this year's team. Cook was the only one of those who remained in college who was not debarred by the new rules. It is not probable that he will attempt to play under the circumstances.
