Henry W. Thornton '96 C., of Logansport, has been playing centre on the team this year for the first time. He learned the game at St. Paul's School. He has played right guard on the 'varsity for three years previous to this. Age 22, height 6 ft. 3 in., weight 195.
W. G. Woodruff '97 Med., comes from Tecumseh, Neb. He is a brother of the chief coach whom Pennsylvania has had this year. Since Oliver was hurt, he has played left guard. This is his first year in football playing. Age 26, height 6 ft., weight 202.
Charles M. Wharton '97 C., from Dover, Del., has held the position of right guard this year for the first time. Age 22, height 6 ft. 2 in., weight 210.
Henry D. Oliver '95 C., played on the Lafayette team before entering college and won a place on the 'varsity last year. Played left guard at the first of the season, but was so injured before the game with Princeton that he could not then play. In the game with Yale, however, he played right tackle. Age 23, height 6 ft. 1 in., weight 210.
James L. Reese '96 C., of Centralia, Penn., played at the Lehigh Preparatory School. This is his second year on the 'varsity. He played right tackle in the Princeton game, but was displaced by Oliver in the game against Yale a week later. Age 21, height 5 ft. 10 1-2 in., weight 204.
Richard H. Simmons '94 Med., comes from Shamokin, Penn. This is his second year on the 'varsity. He plays at left end, and occupied that position against both Yale and Princeton this year.
Charles L. Upton '97 M., has his home in Shelbourne, Mass. This is his first year on the 'varsity. He is one of the lightest men in all of Pennsylvania's material. He played end until hurt at New York. Age 23, height 5 ft. 6 1-2 in., weight 150.
Lewis de P. Vail 94 L., of Philadelphia, has played the position of quarterback for three years. He is the smallest man on Pennsylvania's team. He was badly hurt in the head at the Yale game this year. Age 23, height 5 ft. 7 in., weight 138.
Arthur A. Knipe '94 Med., first played football at Haverford College Grammar School. He was a substitute on the 'varsity last year. He can play both full and half back. He made the touchdown against Yale. Age 22, height 5 ft. 9 in., weight 180.
Winchester D. Osgood '94 C., comes from Pensacola, Florida. He played at Cornell previous to entering Pennsylvania. His brilliant record on the Cornell team against Harvard at Springfield last year will be remembered. He plays at half back. Age 23, height 5 ft. 8 1-2 in., weight 175.
George H. Brooke '97 C., is from Sandy Spring, Maryland. He is playing full back, this year being of course his first on the 'varsity. Age 19, height 5 ft. 8 1-2 in., weight 175.
Charles D. Gilbert '97 C., comes from Holly, Penn. He played full back on the team until he was hurt in the Princeton game. This is his first year to play. Age 21, height 5 ft. 9 in., weight 165,
