The freshman eleven defeated Hopkinson on Norton's Field yesterday afternoon. Considerable improvement on the part of the freshmen is shown by the fact that they played the same team last week and were defeated by exactly the same score.
They have many faults, however, remaining. Their interference is weak, and the backs have a tendency to disregard whatever openings have been made for them. Hopkinson made most of her gains through right tackle, and came very near scoring in the last half Neither side had a decided advantage in weight, but the freshmen excelled in tackling and running.
