Courtney to Stay at Cornell.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

All expectation of having Courtney as coach for the 'varsity next spring must be abandoned. The alumni of Cornell were thoroughly aroused over the idea of his withdrawal, and when he actually came here this fall to coach Captain Davis, they protested so strongly that the naval officers took the affair in hand. A call for funds was made and such liberal response received that they have enough money on hand to pay Courtney an increased salary for the coming year, and enough pledged to keep him three years more. The outcome is that Courtney has written a refusal to all other offers, and has signed for another year with Cornell.
