The Cornell University Register for 1892-93 has appeared and contains the exact amounts given to the university.
The total amount of gifts already received is $2,005,048.A bequest of $400,000 was made by Jennie McGraw Fiske for a hospital, $50,000 for improvements in the McGraw Building, $200,000 for a McGraw Library Fund, and the residue of the estate to be used for the same purpose.
The fact that the university could not take these bequests on account of its charter limitations is stated followed by the clause of the act passed May 12,1882, amending the charter 30 as to remove every limitation.
