The executive comittee of the H.A.A. held a meeting last evening and completed the program for the three winter meetings which are to be held on March 11, 18 and 25. The program has yet to be approved by the athletic committee and will be submitted at once.
As a large number of men have signified their intention of entering the sparring and wrestling events, special attempts will be made to make these more interesting than in former years. The weights for the wrestling events will be, heavy, above 150; middle, 150 limit; light, 135 limit and special, 125 limit. The weights for the sparring will be the same as appeared in yesterday's CRIMSON. There will also be a shot putting contest at this meeting.
At the second meeting the events will be, parallel bars, high jump, tumbling, double trapeze, broad sword, Japanese exhibition of top spinning, ladder exhibition and potato race. There may also be a special exhibition on the parallel bars.
The third meeting will be devoted to the fence vault, horizontal bar, club swinging, flying rings, rope climbing, aerial exhibition and the ten yard dash.
It is expected that the meetings this winter will prove more interesting than before inasmuch as several new events have been introduced; they are, double trapeze, top spinning, ladder exhibition, rope climbing and aerial exhibition.
The invitation events will be the high jump, the fence vault and flying rings, to which members of college and the more prominent athletic associations will be asked.
