The stated meeting of the board of overseers was held yesterday morning. It was voted toconcur with the president and fellows in electing Henry Lee, William Sturgis Bigelow, and Arthur Astor Carey trustees of the Museum of Fine Arts for the year 1893. A petition was received from the alumni of the Lawrence Scientific School, asking for the right to vote for overseers.
The meeting was adjourned for two weeks. At the next session the question of open or free scholarships, which was presented in the report of the committee on government, will be considered.
