Outing.

In the June Outing Malcolm W. Ford continues his set of articles on field events with a paper on "Miscellaneous Jumping." He devotes most of his space to the hop, step and jump, both from a standing and a running start, and makes some valuable suggestions as to the proper arrangements for indoor practice. The article is very well illustrated.

Mr. Stewart concludes his series on the "Evolution of the Forty-six Footer," with an interesting account of the boats in this wonderful class, an account made all the more valuable by the beautiful photographs and engravings of the yachts themselves.

Any students who have not made up their minds where to spend their next summer vacation may find it worth their while to read the two articles by Messrs. Sandys and Anderson, (both illustrated by A. Hencke) the first, "Through Muskoka Maroel Lands," on one beautiful spot in Canada, and the second, "Nova Scotia as a Summer Resort," on another. Unfortunately each author is so positive that the place which he describes is the most beautiful portion of the continent, that anyone who is now in uncertainty will probably find his problem still harder to decide.

An article on "Inter-city and Inter-national Cricket in America" the conclusion of "By Wheel from Havre to Rouen," and "From the German Ocean to the Black Sea" are the most interesting of the remaining articles.
