The freshmen defeated the Technology freshmen in a well played game, yesterday afternoon. The team showed a decided improvement on the play at Groton, although the batting is not improving. The base running and fielding were encouraging. Gilmore's pitching was good, striking out 14 men, and giving two bases on balls. The freshmen turned out to the game better than they have at any previous game. The game as a whole, was encouraging. The score by innings:
