A meeting of the Overseers of Harvard College was held at 50 State street, yesterday morning, Solomon Lincoln in the chair. It was voted to concur with the president and fellows in appointing Professor A. V. Williams Jackson lecturer on the "Mazdean Religion" for the current academic year, and John Edmund Barss, A. B. (Acadia College), proctor for the remainder of the current academic year.
The reports of the committees on Indo-Iranian languages, Semitic languages, and Spanish, were presented and laid over, under the rules of the board, until the next meeting.
