Candidates for the Amherst nine have begun training in the gymnasium under Captain Sullivan. The men and the positions for which they are working are: Pitchers, K. G. Colby '95, C. G. Smith '94, J. Buswell '93; catcher, W. D. Hunt '93; basemen, A. E. Stearns '94, J. H. Allen '93, C. S. Sullivan '92; fielders, H. B. Taylor '92, W. E. Babcock, H. S. Cheney '94, F. M. Gould '93, M. T. Baldwin '93, R. S. Smith '92. A. M. Brown '92. All but two members of last year's team are now in college, and as the candidates for the vacant positions are all strong men, the outlook for a successful season is promising.
