Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The first athletic meeting of the winter at Williams College was held last Saturday at the Lasell Gymnasium and was very successful. The feature of the exhibition was the work of Towne '94 who showed himself the best all round man in college, breaking two records. The winners of the various events were as follows:
Twenty-yard dash. - Elder '95.
Exhibition pole vault. - Towne '94, 9 ft. 10 inches. Previous college record 9 feet 5 inches.
Potato race. - Elder '95.
Tug-of-war. - First heat, '94 against '95, won by '94 by 13 inches.
Standing broad jump. - Rowe '92, 9 feet 1 inch.
Standing high jump. - Towne '94, 4 feet 5 1-3 inches.
Hitch and kick. - Towne '94, 8 feet and 4 inches. Previous college record 8 feet 2 inches.
Tug-of-war. - Second heat, '94 won by 4 inches.
The judges were Lloyd and Adams from the Faculty and Safford, '92, and Jones '92.
