Garber Privately Tells Faculty That Harvard Must Rethink Messaging After GOP Victory
A despatch from Hanover announces that at Tuesday's "session of the Dartmouth College Trustees it was voted to grant to the alumni the control of the athletics of the college." Dartmouth seems thus to be following the lead of the larger colleges in entrusting her athletic interests to her graduates. This plan of regulation is now looked upon as most productive of good results. It is well known that Yale's athletics are almost exclusively regulated by her graduates; while the graduate members of the Athletic Committee and the Graduate Advisory Boards have practical control of athletics here at Harvard. By this arrangement the athletic interests of a college are entrusted to those not only deeply interested in their success but also most experienced in their regulation.
