The result of this year's chess tournament is given below. It will be seen that J. M. Mackaye L. S. S., won the tournament with a record of 4 games won to 1 game lost, while S. M. Ballou '93, and G. B. Wilson '94, are tied for second place with a record of 3 games won, and 2 lost. In the play-off for second place Wilson beat Ballou. The match for the championship of the college has yet to be played. MacKaye, the winner of this year's tournament, will play F. W. Nicolls '92, the champion of the college, shortly after the end of the mid-years.
